CUSTOMER INTIMACY STRATEGY.

Many at times when we do business we forget one vital concept of customer intimacy. We feel because it’s our business and we need to offer services we do not need to care who our customer is, we do not socialize with them to understand them well.

Interacting with our customers helps us understand their needs and what we can do to better our services.

Customer intimacy basically refers to methods that you can use to enhance your communication with consumers.

It involves learning as much as possible about your customers and understanding of customers problems and needs among all team members.

It is a measure of your awareness of and alignment with your customers’ needs and values.

If you want to grow your business connect with your customers, you may benefit from building a customer intimacy strategy that supports that goal.

Connecting with your customers does not mean speak to them nicely and giving them the best services. It means going out of your way to making them satisfied by doing extra i.e. reaching them out and planning events, hosting customers’ dinner among many more.

One day I was planning a journey and I was not so able to select a bus because I thought some were fancy than the others and my pocket did not allow me to use them.

Standing at the bus station confused with so many choices, another traveler came and he seemed to be headed the same destination as I was. Curious as I was I asked him where he was headed and what bus he was going to use and he told me I will postpone my journey if I am not using bus X.

Shocked I tried to ask him why and he said “those people are very kind and they value me, they gave me a free ride one time for using this bus more than three times and I was invited to a customer’s conference I felt so important,” he added.

Those words left me no other choice but to use it too. It doesn’t mean other buses are not good, no! It means company X has put a strategy to keep their customers and they have understood what their customers want and they are ready to go out of their pockets and even offer free rides.

Making your clients or customers feel part of your business is so important and this will make them loyal.

If you are starting a business soon you know what to do apart from just offering goods and services. You need to keep your customers and you need to excel in your business. Use the best strategy to accomplish both.
