The success of an organization is what all business stakeholders need. Owners of Businesses feels great and energized when they notice that there are greater profit margin and viability in growth.
Employees want to be satisfied inside and outside the job. This motivates them to produce more. The government on the other hand are much happier when businesses are making good profits and employing many people, as this attracts more revenue that may help in facilitating government operations while customers are looking forward to be satisfied with the services provided and products produced.
Creating a win-win approach that satisfies investors, business owners, governments, customers and employees is of essential in the future success for organizations. Globally leading organizations have picked on key areas to focus on. All these have yielded greater results – Positively and negatively.
Some organization are customer centric. Customer is the king, queen and everything. They concentrate mainly to satisfy the customer. They produce and sell what customers’ needs. Such organization pay more attention in satisfying the customers and less attention on other contributing factors like human resources, innovation among more.
The Fourth Industrial revolutions ignites another core focus area. Some businesses focus on innovation and digital creativity. They concentrate on internet of doing things, Artificial Intelligence. They believe in the global citizen, new normal of working from home and so forth. Innovation is great and that is amongst the best way forward but is organization success fully guaranteed in innovations alone? The answer may be yes or no depending on your viewpoint, profession and the type of business.
Another key focus area is the Business Centric. This is the profit and growth approach. It is the numbers, the believe that numbers never lie. They do much forecasting on the future profits. Works day and night to ensure the plans are achieved. They rely on research and expert opinions with the key aim of future full of profits.
Employee Centric is another area that some organization use. The approach of making your people before you make your products. Believing that people are the innovators, people are the profit drivers, and people are customers themselves. Such organizations views everything from the workforce perspective. They want to satisfy their workforce first before their customers and profits.
All these approaches have worked well in various organization. Some of the key factors that have led to the best approach to adapt is the type of business, the location, the type of people the service/products needs to satisfy, competitors approaches, government legislation s/policies, individual firms financial muscles among more.
Is there a win – win approach that organization can use to ensure an all-round satisfaction for the business owners, customers, workforce and the government? There are many recommendable approaches. My experience in doing businesses and interaction with many people globally led me to what I refer to as The Priority Centric Approach.
Priority Centric Approach is the hybrid of employee, business, customers and innovation centric approaches. For a business to succeed, you need people to help you grow. People may be your workforce or your customers. You need innovations to propel the future technological needs and match the changes brought by the fourth industrial revolutions; you need the customers to consume your services and products and drive your profit graphs upwards as well as the overall business growth.
Priority Centric Approach requires the ability to scan your success needs based on business particulars. You need to be ahead when it comes to what is required, duration, place and the beneficiaries. If you can learn to understand the priority system you will be in a position to know when to concentrate much on your employees, when to put more energy on innovations, when to say customer is the king and when to fully focus on profits and profits alone.
The success of Organization is not achievable on a single approach. A combination of approaches with the knowledge of priority on when and what approach to adapt is likely to lead you towards a win-win approach. Put your success approach right. Focus on Priority Centric Approach. To learn more about the Priority Centric Approach you can reach me through fostineodhiambo@gmail.com
